Groupe Rocher, the French cosmetics giant, is shifting its focus back to beauty by offloading its children’s clothing brand, Petit Bateau. This move marks the second phase of a restructuring plan unveiled in 2023.
The company, known for Yves Rocher products, is also planning to refurbish around 200 Yves Rocher stores and expand its presence in Asia and the Middle East, according to a report from WWD. However, no potential buyers for Petit Bateau have been identified yet.
Jean-David Schwartz, CEO of Groupe Rocher, shared with WWD, “In the past 18 months, we’ve successfully completed the first crucial step: stabilizing our finances and transforming our business models to enhance performance. We now have the financial strength to refocus investments on expanding our care, beauty, and well-being product offerings.”
