Japanese cosmetics giant Kose has announced its acquisition of an 80 percent stake in Thai fragrance brand PanPuri. The deal, which is set to close on December 30, 2025, will see PanPuri become a consolidated subsidiary of Kose.

PanPuri, which reported a revenue of THB 580 million in 2023—more than double its revenue from 2021—has experienced significant growth. However, the financial terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.

This acquisition is in line with Kose’s medium-term strategy to expand its portfolio by incorporating regionally rooted brands. Kazutoshi Kobayashi, President and CEO of Kose, emphasized that PanPuri’s blend of traditional methods and sophisticated product design aligns with Kose’s commitment to enhancing sensory quality while honoring both tradition and innovation. Kobayashi also stated that the acquisition will help Kose accelerate its global strategy, particularly in expanding its presence in markets across the Global South.
