Coty Reports Strong Sustainability Achievements in FY24

Coty has announced significant progress in its sustainability efforts in its FY24 Sustainability Report, highlighting the achievement of several key environmental targets ahead of schedule.

Among the standout accomplishments, Coty reported a 65% reduction in air freight emissions since 2019 and an 82% decrease in Scope 1 and 2 emissions. Furthermore, the company has transitioned all of its factories and distribution centers to renewable energy and is recycling 85% of the waste generated at these sites.

Looking ahead, Coty has set a target to reduce its use of virgin plastic by 60% by 2030 and has introduced its first water-related goal, aiming for a 25% reduction in water withdrawal.

CEO Sue Nabi celebrated the company’s sustainability milestones, stating, “As we celebrate our 120th anniversary, we are incredibly proud of the strides we’ve made in sustainability and innovation. FY24 saw remarkable progress toward our ESG objectives, including achieving gender balance in leadership and setting ambitious targets for packaging and water use. Sustainability is at the core of Coty’s continued success as we work towards a more sustainable future for beauty.”
