Supermodel Cindy Crawford is bringing back the iconic ’90s supermodel look, and fans couldn’t be more excited. In a recent video for Allure, Crawford shared her streamlined 10-minute makeup routine, a modern twist on the classic ’90s supermodel aesthetic. Among the various high-end products she uses, one affordable item stands out: the L’Oréal Paris Voluminous Panorama Mascara, priced at just $13.
Crawford first hinted at her nostalgia for the ’90s on The Skinny Confidential podcast, revealing a beloved lip liner from the era. Her latest revelation came during an Allure video where she demonstrated her full makeup routine. While many products in her regimen are on the pricier side, the $13 mascara is a budget-friendly gem.
The L’Oréal Paris Voluminous Panorama Mascara, currently available for 19% off, is not only a staple for Crawford but also a favorite of fellow supermodel Kendall Jenner. This drugstore mascara boasts a unique brush with multi-level bristles designed to create a fanned-out lash effect, making lashes appear 1.4 times larger. Its formula promises to volumize, lengthen, and thicken lashes while being waterproof and long-lasting.
Crawford emphasized the importance of the brush in her mascara choice. “The reason I choose mascara is always about the brush, if it’s an easy brush for me to work with,” she explained. “And I really try to start at the root and lift.”
Her routine begins with skincare from her own line, Meaningful Beauty. She uses the Youth Activating Melon Serum and Anti-Aging Day Cream, highlighting the significance of hydrated, youthful skin as the foundation for any makeup look.
Next, Crawford applied her foundation and concealer, then moved on to her eyebrows with the Anastasia Beverly Hills Dual-Ended Brow Pencil, a product she’s loved since the early ’90s. For her eyes, she used the Charlotte Tilbury Luxury Eyeshadow Palette to achieve a nude look suitable for everyday wear and enhanced her lash line with the Armani Beauty Smooth Silk Eye Pencil in Chocolate Brown.
After applying the mascara, she added a touch of color to her cheeks with the Charlotte Tilbury Cheek to Chic Blush, applying it “right on the apples” of her cheeks. Crawford noted the ’90s love for blush, saying, “People tease the ’90s big girls because we love blush but we do.” She also used the Charlotte Tilbury Filmstar Bronze & Glow Contour Duo, another ’90s favorite.
To complete her look, Crawford lined her lips with the Very Terry Stay Put Lip Liner in Amaretto, a modern replacement for the Mac Lip Liner Pencil in Spice that she used in the ’90s. She then applied the Tarte Maracuja Juicy Lip Plump to add moisture and finish the look.
For those looking to emulate the ’90s supermodel look, starting with the Crawford-approved L’Oréal Paris Voluminous Panorama Mascara is a great first step. The mascara is currently available on Amazon.
