Ariana Grande made a stunning appearance at the opening ceremony of the 2024 Olympics in Paris on July 26, where she subtly unveiled a new product from her makeup brand, r.e.m. beauty. The singer, accompanied by her “Wicked” co-star Cynthia Erivo, showcased the brand’s latest gel pencil eyeliner.
Grande’s makeup artist, Michael Anthony, integrated the $17 gel kohl eyeliner pencil into her signature winged eyeliner look. He used the rich brown shade named Teddy Bear, which complemented her muted mauve eyeshadow from the r.e.m. beauty’s Midnight Shadows palette in Babydoll.
In addition to the new eyeliner, Grande’s makeup included perfectly blushed cheeks using the Hypernova satin matin blush in Pinking of You, a radiant glow on her cheekbones courtesy of the Interstellar Highlighter Topper in Miss Mercury, and a lip combo featuring the lip stain marker in Booked n Busy and the plumping lip gloss in Pink Razor.
Grande’s Glinda-coded glam look was perfectly paired with a custom baby pink midi-length duchess silk satin dress by Thom Browne. The bespoke design featured a drop waist and a bow that matched the one in her elegant updo. Erivo, portraying Elphaba in the “Wicked” movie, wore an emerald-green strapless dress with a sweetheart neckline, accessorized with a wide-brimmed hat and Roberto Coin jewels.
Fans can expect to see more of Grande in r.e.m. beauty products. Last April, she hinted that her character Glinda in the upcoming “Wicked” movie, set to release on November 22, will be wearing some of the brand’s products. Grande, however, remained tight-lipped about further details, teasing that she would reveal more later.
