Selena Gomez appreciates Benny Blanco’s many talents, but his makeup commentary might need some work.
Gomez, 32, shared a TikTok video of her beauty routine on Saturday, July 28, featuring Blanco, 36, attempting to narrate her process.
“First off, you clink these two [Rare Beauty foundations] together,” Blanco humorously began. “Then you have to look really cute and squirt hand lotion or whatever that is all over, then squirt more hand lotion, except it’s on a stick now. I think you rub it together — kind of looks like poo-poo — and then you put it on.”
He added, “I don’t even know why you need makeup; you look so good… [and] I just realized makeup is just drawing all over your face.”
Blanco continued to struggle with Gomez’s fast-paced routine, mistaking a contour stick for either lipstick or a “magic marker.” He described her tinted moisturizer as something “finger-painted all over [her] face,” identified a Rare Beauty brush, mistook eyebrow gel for lipstick, and admired Rare’s pressed powder puff, saying, “It’s so cute.”
Blanco also confused lip liner and lipstick, prompting Gomez’s social media caption: “I love you, babe, but not everything is lipstick lol.”
The record producer eventually got distracted, exclaiming, “F this, I want this makeup. Why can’t I get it?” referring to Gomez’s beauty brand.
Gomez and Blanco confirmed their relationship in December 2023 after dating for six months.
“[Selena] and Benny are very serious and have talked about marriage,” a source exclusively told Us Weekly earlier this month, noting that their relationship is “definitely endgame” for the singer. “Selena is really happy and is doing really well. She feels her life is peaceful right now.”
