Irene Kim, former Global Head of VIP Relations at Art Basel, has been appointed as the new Head of US Arts and Culture at Chanel. Kim brings a wealth of experience, having spent three years overseeing global VIP relations at Art Basel, following a six-year tenure as the head of the US VIP program. She also previously managed VIP relations at New York’s Armory Show.
Her move to Chanel comes amid a series of high-profile executive changes at Art Basel, including the recent departures of Dunja Gottweis and Alexie Glass-Kantor.
Kim’s appointment marks the creation of a new role at Chanel, underscoring the luxury brand’s commitment to deepening its engagement with the arts and culture sector.
